The redness, swelling and itchiness of insect stings can really be a pain and nuisance. You may feel burning, stinging or numbness up to 12 inches around the site.
Allergic Reactions to Bee Stings
If there is a reaction more than 12 inches from the sting itself, you may be in danger, see a doctor at once. If you notice more than a localized reaction (12 inches from the sting) such as hives, flushing, swelling of the tongue, or dizziness, vomiting or nausea, you may have an allergic reaction to the sting and should go to the emergency room of the hospital at once. People who have asthma or allergies to other things tend to be more likely to have allergic reactions to stings. It is estimated as many as 15% of people are allergic to bee and wasp stings.
Treatment for Minor, Localized Bee and Wasp Stings
To treat the occasional sting if you are not allergic, take the immediate actions of removing the stinger. If you are outdoors you can apply mudpack for a few minutes then clean the sting. If you're near home, head for the kitchen. Apply a thick mixture of baking soda and water to help reduce swelling. Another home remedy that reduces pain is vinegar. Put the vinegar on a cotton ball or cloth and press it to the sting area. You can also use ice to reduce swelling. These are common home remedies to help reduce the immediate swelling from the sting. Keep the area clean to prevent infection.
How Can InfiniteAloe® Skin Care Can Help When You Have Bee Sting
The main effect of bee or wasp stings is inflammation, irritation and pain. A scientific review for the Department of Defense discussed the powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities of Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller). InfiniteAloe® Skin Care also nourishes your skin with saponins (from Aloe Vera), which are particularly helpful in pain relief. There are many reports that saponins elevate the body's production of cortisone, which can reduce soreness and swelling. (See references)
Vitamin A may also be important for rapid healing, as it is vital to the repair and growth of epithelial cells of the skin. Grape seed oil brings powerful cellular rebuilding properties deep below the skin's surface to moisturize and aid in protecting skin tissue. These are just some of the many beneficial, organic ingredients in InfiniteAloe® Skin Care.
Remember InfiniteAloe Skin Care is a soothing moisturizer, not a medical treatment, see your doctor for medical treatments.

- Clean the affected area thoroughly, and apply ice if needed to reduce swelling. Try to pull the venom using a pack of baking soda, mud or vinegar on the sting area.
- Keep the well covered with InfiniteAloe® Skin Care to promote healing and help protect from infection.
If there is any indication of shock or systemic (whole body) reaction to a bee sting, you may be allergic; you must see a physician immediately.
Real Stories from a mother who used InfiniteAloe® for bee stings:
"My six year old son was playing outside and accidentally came across a bee hive. He was stung by many bees and had about 20 stings all over his face. On the way to the hospital we rubbed a lot of the cream all over his face. We arrived at the emergency room in about 30 minutes, and the doctor was amazed that the swelling from the bees already was going down. The aloe cream was pulling the toxins from the stings from his face."
