The best advice to give about burns is - try not to get one! But if you've been burned, any type of burn and especially severe burns, you need to give it immediate attention. Burn treatment depends on severity. Even minor burns that are not cared for properly can be painful and result in scarring.
Types of Burns (in case you don't already know!)
First Degree Burns: Can involve some pain and redness and affect only outer layers of the skin (epidermis). A sunburn is usually categorized as a first degree burn.
Second Degree Burn: Can involve blistering and may reach deep into the dermis, even causing some nerve damage. Scarring can result. Burns that require several weeks to heal completely
Third Degree Burns: Can result in severe damage to the skin, loss of hair and scarring.
Fourth Degree Burns: Can also involve damage to muscular, tendon and ligament tissue.
What Kind of Things Can Cause Burns (also in case you don't know!)
Chemical burns usually caused by an acidic substance burning into the skin.
Electrical burns can be caused by electric shock or lightning.
Tanning beds, x rays, sunlamps or even radiation therapy and result can cause radiation burns in soreness, redness and inflammation of the skin.
Scalding from very hot water can produce blisters.

Heat sources such as flame and hot surfaces or pans can cause some nasty, painful burns.
InfiniteAloe® Skin Care is an excellent tool to use in soothing and caring for the skin as it is healing itself after a burn.
How InfiniteAloe® Skin Care Can Help When You Are Recovering from A Burn
InfiniteAloe® Skin Care can help aid the minor First Degree Burns such as a sunburn, and help to repair the skin and prevent scarring from more serious burns. It is not a first aid solution for serious burns such as Third and Fourth Degree Burns. If you have a serious injury from burns, visit the hospital at once. Severe burns require hospitalization to treat shock and attend to possible skin grafting.
InfiniteAloe® Skin Care contains organic Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) to care for your burnt skin. Organic Aloe Vera contains eight life-giving enzymes, 20 powerful amino acids, and sterols of potent anti-inflammatory agents as well as strong saponins that act as antiseptics. Saponins are known to be particularly helpful in pain relief. There are many reports that saponins elevate the body's production of cortisone, which reduces irritation, tenderness, and swelling. (See References)
Studies suggest that Rose Hips Oil, Panax Ginseng Root Extract and Comfrey Leaf extract that are also key ingredients of InfiniteAloe® Skin Care, can soothe and cool your and help speed skin repair.
InfiniteAloe® Skin Care also contains a cutting-edge, natural ingredient called Sodium Hyaluronate (or Hyaluronic Acid), which is the key water regulating substance in the skin. Widely used by celebrities and injected by doctors for expensive beauty treatments, when applied to the skin, it can form an air permeable layer to keep the skin moist and smooth. Small molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid can penetrate into the dermis layer, fully combine with water, promote skin blood microcirculation and nutrient absorption and maintain normal metabolism. As a result, it can play a role in wrinkle reduction, better-appearing skin and sunburn recovery.
How to Use InfiniteAloe® Skin Care When Your Are Recovering from a Burn
If you have just been burned, apply immediate first aid. After removing your body from the source of the burn, assess severity of the burn and visiting the doctor or hospital as needed. See a medical doctor for burns more severe than a second-degree burn.
For minor burns such as from a kitchen accident, radiation or sun:
- Reduce the temperature of the burn area: you can use ice, cold water.
- If the skin is not broken open you can apply fresh papaya, raw honey or fresh aloe to help heal.
- If the skin is broken you must only apply antibacterial ointments; follow the recommendations of your healthcare practitioner.
- While your skin is healing: Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat good proteins to give your body hydration and nutrients it needs to heal.
- Apply InfiniteAloe® Skin Care liberally and often to the burn area, and keep clothing off the area as much as possible.
