Excessive pressure and friction on skin, especially feet, elbows and hands, creates the thickened skin known as calluses (also spelled callouses). Your skin’s natural protection mechanism produces thicker, harder skin to protect the underlying tissue from rubbing and stress. In order to shield itself, the skin gets thicker and thicker, and the area becomes painful.

Calluses are one of the most common foot complaints. Too much pressure or friction wears out the skin in areas you use a lot—often because of poorly fitted shoes. This can really take the enjoyment out of walking!

Special Ingredients Penetrate the Skin and Relieve Calluses

InfiniteAloe® Skin Care contains organic Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) as its primary and most abundant ingredient. Aloe Vera nourishes your dry skin with 8 enzymes, 20 powerful amino acids, and sterols. Studies suggest that Aloe Vera penetrates deeply into the lower levels of the skin, bringing its remarkable properties to where it is needed most.

InfiniteAloe® Skin Care contains a cutting-edge, natural ingredient called Sodium Hyaluronate (or Hyaluronic Acid), which is the key water regulating substance in skin. Widely used by celebrities and injected by doctors for expensive beauty treatments, when applied to the skin it can form an air permeable layer and keep the skin moist and smooth. Small molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid can penetrate into the dermis layer, fully combine with water, promote skin blood microcirculation and nutrient absorption and maintain normal metabolism. As a result, it can play a role in wrinkle reduction, better-looking skin and replacing lost moisture.

Studies also suggest that Rose Hip Oil, Panax Ginseng Root Extract and Comfrey Leaf also provide important nutrients to the skin.

Say Goodbye to Painful, Unattractive Calluses

Calluses do not go away on their own. If possible, the first thing that should be done is to remove the source of stress to the skin. If it is job-related and you cannot stop putting undue pressure on certain areas, you may be able to alleviate it. Calluses can be minimized or eradicated by taking a few easy actions.

  1. Soak your feet in warm water for at least of ten minutes to soften the skin. Calluses on elbows or hands are usually not as thick as those on the feet, and an ordinary bath or shower should soften them sufficiently.
  2. For feet, gently rub pumice or a medium skin sanding block across the calluses to gradually reduce them. Switch to a fine sanding block as the calluses shrink. For elbows and hands, use a wet loofah, soft brush or skin slougher instead. Don’t try to remove all the layers of hard skin at once and never use a knife to try to cut it away. It will usually take scrubbing over a period of several days to reduce the calluses to a comfortable level.
  3. InfiniteAloe® Skin Care is a rich emollient for feet, elbows, hands or any other callused skin to moisturize, soften and protect. Apply InfiniteAloe® Skin Care thoroughly and massage in well. Use the “Three Minute Rules” – rub in InfiniteAloe® Skin Care daily within three minutes of emerging from the bath or shower.
  4. You may wish to intensify the treatment by slathering your feet with InfiniteAloe® Skin Care at night before bed, and wearing breathable cotton socks or gloves until morning. Use clean socks or gloves each night.
  5. Once your skin is restored, keep it immaculate by exfoliating. InfiniteAloe® Scrub is gentle and rich. To prevent the build-up of dead cells, refresh your skin and buff it to glowing smoothness, exfoliate with InfiniteAloe® Scrub once or twice a week. Be sure use it on troublesome areas like feet and elbows to keep them soft and renewed.
  6. For feet: prevent new calluses by wearing shoes and socks that fit properly. Ensure that your shoes are the right length and wide enough at the toe. Try to not to wear shoes with heels higher than ½ an inch. You may need to get cushioned pads or orthotics to put inside your shoes. If calluses keep returning, see a foot specialist.
