Oh, the irritated skin of diaper rash-bright red, tender-looking, inflamed skin on your baby's diaper area that sometimes brings her to tears or cranky, fussy frustration. Diaper rash is a common form of dermatitis most often caused by rubbing the skin and diapers not changed often enough. It can also happen if your baby's gastro-intestinal tract is upset, such as when breast-feeding mothers eat foods that irritate baby (such as spicy dishes), after solid food is introduced to your baby's diet or if your baby is taking antibiotics.

How Can Aloe Vera, Vitamin A and Collagen Help Your Baby With Diaper Rash?

InfiniteAloe Skin Care is comprised of 100% pure, natural and scientifically advanced ingredients to soothe your baby's skin. The primary ingredient of InfiniteAloe® Skin Care is organic Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller). Aloe Vera contains antibacterial and antifungal agents, along with important skin nutrients including: 8 enzymes, 20 powerful amino acids, and sterols (which are natural plant oils that moisturize your skin). There are reports that the saponins in Aloe Vera elevate the body's production of cortisone, which reduces redness, irritation and inflammation.

Other vitamins and natural key ingredients in InfiniteAloe® Skin Care penetrate into the deepest skin layer, such as Vitamin A, which is vital to the repair and growth of epithelial cells of the skin.

InfiniteAloe® Skin Care also contains collagen, the main structural protein making up 70% of the body's connective tissue. Some European studies have shown collagen helps speed healing and provide structure to recovering skin. These are just some of the many beneficial, organic ingredients in InfiniteAloe® Skin Care. How to Use InfiniteAloe Skin Care When Your Baby Has Diaper Rash

You can soothe you baby's diaper rash and help to prevent rash in the future by taking these simple steps:

The primary steps to soothing a fretful baby with diaper rash are to change wet or soiled diapers immediately and to eliminate any irritating foods from baby's diet (or from the breastfeeding mother's diet).

  1. Let your baby go diaper-free for short periods of time. Try laying him or her down on a large towel and enjoy some playtime together while your baby's bottom is exposed to air.
  2. Don't use plastic pants to cover diapers, as they are not breathable and cut off natural airflow.
  3. To improve airflow in the diaper area, use a larger-sized diaper and be sure not to tighten it too much. Overly tight diapers can chafe the skin and, like plastic over pants, create a moist, warm environment perfect for bacterial growth.
  4. Avoid washing the affected area with ordinary soap or disposable wipes. The harsh chemicals and alcohol can worsen the rash.
  5. With each diaper change, gently rinse the diaper area with water, using a washcloth or cotton balls instead of scented wipes. You can even bring a water bottle with you for changes-on-the-go.
  6. Pat, don't rub. Scrubbing your baby's bottom will further aggravate the rash. Pat your baby dry with a soft cloth.
  7. Use InfiniteAloe® Skin Care unscented version after each diaper change and when you let your baby go without a diaper for brief periods. InfiniteAloe® soaks into the skin, promotes healing and allows the skin to "breathe."
  8. Talcum powder is no longer recommended, because it can irritate your baby's lungs. If you like to use powder to protect the skin and absorb excess moisture, try a non-talc cornstarch or similar natural alternative, and use with care.
  9. Wash your hands thoroughly after changing diapers to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Please see your baby's doctor if the rash seems severe or does not clear up rapidly.
