InfiniteAloe® Skin Care and Scarring

If you have a dark or sensitive complexion, you know the even tiny cuts may cause scarring. Proper care can keep a cut from becoming an unsightly blemish. Larger wounds can also be cared for once healed to help prevent scaring.

How Scars are Formed

Red blood cells and protective white blood cells rush to the site of the cut, creating a blood clot to stop bleeding. When the bleeding has stopped, fibroblast cells produce collagen to repair the skin. (Collagen is the main structural protein making up 70% of the body's connective tissue.) If you get any sort of infection can slow or disrupt the repair of the skin, eve causing the fibroblasts to overproduce collagen. This overproduction of collagen can result in a raised, discolored scar.

Watch for redness, swelling or tenderness, as these are signs of infection, which is the primary reason cuts fail to heal properly.

Science: How Aloe Vera and Vitamin A Can Help Prevent Scarring

A scientific review for the Department of Defense discussed the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities of Aloe Vera with respect to a wide variety of ailments, from radiation burns to arthritis.

InfiniteAloe® Skin Care contains organic Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) that nourishes your skin with saponins that are particularly help to relieve the pain. There are many scientific reports that saponins elevate the body's production of cortisone, which can reduce the soreness and swelling of abrasions. Cortisone is also available from physicians to help reduce and treat scarring.

InfiniteAloe ® Skin Care also contains Vitamin A for the very reason that is important for rapid healing from cuts; it is vital to the repair and growth of epithelial cells of the skin and help treat scarring. The Grape Seed Oil brings powerful cellular rebuilding properties deep below the skin's surface to moisturize and aid in protecting skin tissue. These are just some of the many beneficial ingredients in InfiniteAloe® Skin Care.

Seek appropriate medical care for your situation. Deep or jagged cuts or wounds require immediate attention. Please follow the instructions of your physician. Also, be aware of when your last tetanus shot was and get a booster shot if needed. It is not only rusty nails that can cause tetanus.

For Treating Minor Cuts:

  1. Clean the cut thoroughly, cover with an antibiotic cream and a bandage.
  2. Keep the area moist until it has healed. This promotes healing, improves tissue formation and helps protect the scratches from becoming infected.
  3. Once the bandage is off and the wound is closed, apply InfiniteAloe® twice a day to hydrate and fight inflammation.
